Maliseet experience in Fredericton focus of Acadians of Saint John River speaker series at Beaverbrook Art Gallery

The experience of Fredericton's Maliseet peoples from pre-contact to the present will be the focus of a presentation by the esteemed New Brunswick academic and historian, Dr. Andrea Bear Nicholas.

This FREE event is the first of 5 presentations in the Acadians of the Saint John River speaker series and will be held at 6:30 pm, Thursday, April 11 at the RBC Room, Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend.

Also appearing is historian Anne Marie Lane Jonah of Parks Canada's Archaeology and History Branch who will also speak on "Uncovering the Stories of Chignecto/Siknikt".

The Acadians of the Saint John River lecture series is made possible with a grant from the Open Academy of the Royal Society of Canada as well as the support of the York Sunbury Historical Society and Conférences Alphée-Belliveau, Department of French, University of New Brunswick.
